Strangely Doesburg and the Yogurt Story

This week I've got some first impressions about a big scary book I FINALLY finished reading. Elsewhen I talk about increasing understanding through appreciating terminology, recommend a book for learning skills with, and tell the "Yogurt Story," on a reccordion!

Strangely Doesburg and the Circle of Endearment

Although I'm deep in the throes of reccordion my next album, I still managed to keep up the schedule for the podcast this week! Within you will learn what my favourite "candy" was in church as a child, what a "zero day" is, and how I deploy 2,500 words to examine how comedy should "feel." All that and a new studio reccordion of "Sweet Cron?!" It must be this week’s episode of the podcast!

Strangely Doesburg and the Hermitage

Hello Everyone!

I've now graduated university and I'm back in the Art Life full time! I am so excited to apply all the new things I've learned about myself and the world over the past couple of years to the art I make. This week I've got some hopeful thoughts on solitude, a cartoon recommendation, and a brand new song about... well, I'll let you discover for yourself.

I hope this finds you all well and of a comfortable temperature! See you next week!

Hello everyone! What a year it's been! Join me as I reflect on last year's resolutions, and ramble about some plans for the future. I've also got the first half of my annotated bibliography from the past 365 days! Books, books, books!

Thank you folks so much for listening to this odd little podcast filled with all the weirdness I want to talk about. I'm looking forward to the future!

Strangely Doesburg and the Recorded Ramble

Hey Folks,

Strangely Here.

I've been absolutely slammed by school this quarter, but I wanted to share some of what I've been working on in this episode. Witchcraft! Magicians! A man named "Pepys!" On a darker note, I also experienced a personal loss recently that has made it very difficult to press onwards some days. I talk about it a bit in this episode, though it's still too fresh to really put into words. Then there's an unexpected early birthday present, and an old song of mine to close things out.

Next episode is the “lonely birthday special!”

I hope you are all well, please know I miss you all terribly.

Strangely Doesburg and the Single Pat on the Shoulder

Strangely fights through a haze of apocalyptic smoke that has wreathed Bellingham in bizarre shapes and managed to produce an episode. Although a bit uncomfortable, Strangely is at least safe at the moment. Here’s hoping you and all of yours are as well.

This week sees a couple of brand new segments, an unplanned, unscripted story of the kindest thing anyone ever did for Strangely, and way too many feelings about video-game cutscenes. Then there's quite possibly the most bizarre collection of Mailbag Items ever!

Note: This was recorded in September 2029, but due to a glitch is being uploaded on 30 November 2020.

Catherine Roskam and the Expansion of Consciousness

Live guests are back! Although sitting a responsible distance apart, Strangely managed to get good enough audio from opposite ends of an 8 foot table and here it is! Cathy Roskam sit’s down with Strangely to talk about The Episcoposse, Acknowledging Past Mistakes and Acting in the 1970s. Elsewhen Strangely has some thoughts on Dragonslayer, Psychedelics and Going Back to School.

Strangely Doesburg and the Dirty Jokes

Strangely muses on Dirty Jokes in films, reviews a couple of movies and finally watches Casablanca. Speaking of finally getting around to things, Strangely now has a copy of Moby Dick! This week’s song is the classic shanty “High Barbary.”

Sarah Shay Would Like to See the Menu

Sarah Shay returns to the podcast to talk about The Thrilling Adventure hour, the magic of live performance and the very concept of recommending stuff. Elsewhen, Strangely recommends some Dante, muses on the value of “trashy fiction,” and courts madness by contemplating Nicolas Cage.

Strangely Doesburg and the Cupcake Tin

Finally another voice! Strangely is still all alone in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, but good pal Aaron J. Shay has come to the rescue with an audio postcard. Elsewhen, Strangely has thoughts on “NPR Podcasts,” Footnotes, and Homemade Doughnuts. There is also a brand new song by Strangely, so it’s another busy episode from the long lost cabin!
