I built a fence.
Elsewhen I've got thoughts on Jordan Peterson, Chernobyl, and a song about a Tapestry!
It's good to be back, I missed you!
This week I muse about the possibilities available in admitting there is no hope of inventing anything new. Elsewhen I revisit a classic slasher flick from the turn of the millennium, open my mail, and reveal my favourite documentary film of all time. [The peeled lemons serve no function, I'm just being a domestic wee beastie.]
The week's episode feature's a book about Benedictines, one of Leonard Cohen's last albums, and my own shocking lack of intent when dropping out of university. Elsewhen I've got a new song about the shocking sight glimpsed via screensharing during a Zoom meeting.
Fresh off the presses! This week's episode has mullings on likeable baddies, a comic book full of loveable degenerates, a new reccordion of "Sweet Cron," and more outtakes than usual.
This week sees the return of guests! I'm so happy I got to chat with my friend Heather... in my van! Elsewhen I suggest you do things wrong on purpose, recommend some Canadian comedy, and share another brand new song! Plus, as a bonus, you get to hear my fake Australian accent!
This week I've got some thoughts on some gender-fluid scifi factions, a comic book more bananas than Doctor Who, and a ramble about emergent consciousness. Elsewhen there is another preview of my in-progress album, and my true feelings about Ludacris. Disturbing noises abound!
This week I've got some first impressions about a big scary book I FINALLY finished reading. Elsewhen I talk about increasing understanding through appreciating terminology, recommend a book for learning skills with, and tell the "Yogurt Story," on a reccordion!
Although I'm deep in the throes of reccordion my next album, I still managed to keep up the schedule for the podcast this week! Within you will learn what my favourite "candy" was in church as a child, what a "zero day" is, and how I deploy 2,500 words to examine how comedy should "feel." All that and a new studio reccordion of "Sweet Cron?!" It must be this week’s episode of the podcast!
This week on the podcast I have some thoughts on reading yucky books. I've also got a few recommendations, a ramble about a rambling comic book series, and another brand new song! I've been a busy lil' art gremlin this week, I hope you enjoy it!
Hello Everyone!
I've now graduated university and I'm back in the Art Life full time! I am so excited to apply all the new things I've learned about myself and the world over the past couple of years to the art I make. This week I've got some hopeful thoughts on solitude, a cartoon recommendation, and a brand new song about... well, I'll let you discover for yourself.
I hope this finds you all well and of a comfortable temperature! See you next week!

Hello Everyone!
Here is the second part of my Birthday(ish) Special Episode! I ramble through stories about my oddest high school teacher and then finish the annotated bibliography! To round out the year I've got a brand new song about all the things I regret!
See you next year!
Hello everyone! What a year it's been! Join me as I reflect on last year's resolutions, and ramble about some plans for the future. I've also got the first half of my annotated bibliography from the past 365 days! Books, books, books!
Thank you folks so much for listening to this odd little podcast filled with all the weirdness I want to talk about. I'm looking forward to the future!
Hey Folks,
Strangely Here.
I've been absolutely slammed by school this quarter, but I wanted to share some of what I've been working on in this episode. Witchcraft! Magicians! A man named "Pepys!" On a darker note, I also experienced a personal loss recently that has made it very difficult to press onwards some days. I talk about it a bit in this episode, though it's still too fresh to really put into words. Then there's an unexpected early birthday present, and an old song of mine to close things out.
Next episode is the “lonely birthday special!”
I hope you are all well, please know I miss you all terribly.
Strangely fights through a haze of apocalyptic smoke that has wreathed Bellingham in bizarre shapes and managed to produce an episode. Although a bit uncomfortable, Strangely is at least safe at the moment. Here’s hoping you and all of yours are as well.
This week sees a couple of brand new segments, an unplanned, unscripted story of the kindest thing anyone ever did for Strangely, and way too many feelings about video-game cutscenes. Then there's quite possibly the most bizarre collection of Mailbag Items ever!
Note: This was recorded in September 2029, but due to a glitch is being uploaded on 30 November 2020.
Strangely chats with regular guest Sarah Shay about the oddities of life in the Time of Corona, pulling back from digital technology, and the necessary changes to New Years Resolutions in light of the aforementioned Time of Corona.
Live guests are back! Although sitting a responsible distance apart, Strangely managed to get good enough audio from opposite ends of an 8 foot table and here it is! Cathy Roskam sit’s down with Strangely to talk about The Episcoposse, Acknowledging Past Mistakes and Acting in the 1970s. Elsewhen Strangely has some thoughts on Dragonslayer, Psychedelics and Going Back to School.
This week was recorded in the hottest jury-rigged studio of all time. Strangely shares thoughts on the greatest James Bond stunt of all time, and an academic paper on ‘The Craic.’ Elsewhen Strangely performs a rendition of a related jump-rope rhyme!
Strangely muses on Dirty Jokes in films, reviews a couple of movies and finally watches Casablanca. Speaking of finally getting around to things, Strangely now has a copy of Moby Dick! This week’s song is the classic shanty “High Barbary.”
The Owl Fortress is full of Miner’s Ballads. Strangely has thoughts on Prurient National Epics, Oddly Prescient Conspiracy Theory Television and Fantasy Worldbuilding.
Strangely is growing basil, watching Lord of the Rings, and perhaps thinking too much! It’s another Lonely Cabin episode of the podcast live from the Owl Fortress!
